What's For Dinner Wednesday!

Tonight was all about quick and easy! The weathers been gorgeous and the count down to the end of the school year has begun (only 9 more day!) So that means not much homework and more outside play time so dinner needs to be quick : ) Quick homemade pizza it was the dough I usually make takes 1 hr to rise and I didn't get a chance to make it this afternoon. So I used a really easy quick pizza dough recipe that only takes 5 min to rise. The boys woofed it down of course that's one thing I know they'll never complain about having : )

Quick Homemade Pizza Dough

  • 1 ( .25 oz) package active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 1/2 cups bread flour (all purpose works to)
  • 2 tbls olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
* This makes enough for 1 pizza*

Preheat oven to 450ยบ. In a medium bowl dissolve and sugar in warm water. Let stand for 10 min. Add in flour salt and oil beat until smooth (I just needed it until smooth) let rest 5 min. Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat in roll out. Transfer to a lightly greased pizza pan. Spread with desired toppings. Bake 15-20 minutes and golden brown. Enjoy! If you try it out let me know what you think thanks : )

  1. With four picky kids, an even pickier husband and a cat who's partial to filet mignon, I love finding quick and easy ways to deliver a meal that everyone will like. Thanks for the awesome post!

  2. This looks so good. I'm the only one around here who eats mushrooms, so a mushroom pizza is few & far between. Thanks for the recipe for the dough!
