What Is Wrong With Some People!

I know there are rude people every where. But the past few days it's been a little more noticeable then normal. Like the other day me and the boys were in a kids clothing store. I had the baby in his stroller and we walked in right behind a group of people.

A lady with a baby (around 3-4 months old) in a stroller and her entourage of 4 grandparents. I'm assuming this was her first child and I understand the excitement. But she's reaming snotty (I'm the greatest thing in the world and your lucky to be in the same room as me kinda attitude).

She's blocking every walk way and I'm standing there waiting patiently for her to scoot over just enough so I can get through. She looks at me and doesn't say anything or let me threw. I think to my self um ok. I politely say excuse me and she decides to get a snotty attitude and roll her eyes at me and completely ignore me.

I take a breath my kids are with me and were in a kids clothing store. So I keep my exposure and ask politely again excuse me can we squeeze past you. This bitch (sorry but she was) with her high and mighty attitude tells me I'm gonna have to leave my baby in his stroller with his brothers cause she can't be bothered to move over for 1 second and her baby is to wonderful and amazing he can't be bothered either.

But apparently my kids are not as wonderful and they can just wait in a corner. If I want to try and squeeze past her and her family to look at anything. I'm a generally a calm, patient, understanding, happy person.

Let me tell you it took everything I had to not take this rude ignorant bitch out! I can take a lot but one thing I won't is someone talking shit or putting down my kids

Sorry guys I try to keep things and language pretty family friendly but there are times it's a little more difficult.  I just don't see why some people feel they are superior to everyone else and do and say what ever they please. To the snotty lady at the store this is for you...

Weekend Fun at the Aquarium!

This weekend we went to the Shedd Aquarium. We planned on leaving earlier in the morning but as I'm sure those of you with kids knows that sometimes plans can get changed.

Once we made it outta the house we got gas and headed out. Traffic was kinda crappie like it usually is (Chicago).

We finally get there and there's no parking spots (on the streets anyway). So we go ahead and pay to park in parking garage. I'm sorry but it's kinda ridiculous $26 -$28 to park.

We walk to the aquarium and end up having to wait over 1 hour in line just to get our tickets : ( Finally we get in but then have to wait 15 minutes just to get on the elevator to get to the main entrance level (we were in the accessible entrance for strollers, disabled people). It was kinda funny actually cause one of the workers even announced that that line was for strollers and even people who had a disability and couldn't stand for long.

Once we got inside the boys had a great time looking at everything. They really enjoy that kinda stuff especially the shark's! I just wish they would have put ramps in next to the stairs.  Cause it was a pain and took up so much time having to wait for the elevator constantly to look at other exhibits. It got to be a little to long at one point (20 minutes) so I picked the baby up out of his stroller and we just carried everything up and down the stairs.

We had a late lunch on the balcony to a beautiful lake front view. We stayed till right before closing and still didn't get to see all of the exhibits.

After wards we decided to take a walk alone the lake shore before heading back home. It was beautiful out! The boys really wanted to go to the beach but it wasn't warm enough and it was getting late. Hopefully next time we come out they'll get to go. They've been asking to go swimming since they got out of school back in may : )

Summer Ideas For Kids #4!

My boys like animals and get into watching shows and reading about them.  We read a couple shark books. Two of them were real facts about sharks and one was just a cute story book. After wards the boys made a couple shark crafts.

Smiling Shark Craft

  •  Paper plate
  •  Paper for sharks body
  •  Googly eyes or paper for eyes
  •  Scissors
  •  Glue
Cut out the sharks body. Fold paper plate in half and cut out teeth. Attach the eyes and mouth with glue. That's it pretty easy : ) The boys liked making the sharks mouth.

Carters Deals!

I got a email from carters about a sale that's going on know. Little man needs some more summer clothes so I decided to go check it out. They had a lot of clearance stuff.

Some of it are really good deals and they have a lot of different sizes from newborn to toddler sizes. They also have a deal were you earn $10 for every $50 you spend. It's valid threw July 29th.

I got 12 month and 18 month sizes for little man. I need to try the stuff on him though cause some of the 18 month stuff looks like it might be way to big. He's in size 12 months. So we'll see if I'll be returning anything.

But if your in need for stuff for your kid(s) I would definitely check them out. They even had cooler long sleeve shirts and pants. If your looking for clothes for when summer over.

We Officially Have A Crawler!!!

Little man is officially a crawler! Saturday night out of the blue he decided he was ready to go : ) Of course I totally got hysterical (in a good way). I got so excited and was clapping, cheering him on. He's looking at me with the biggest smile probably thinking my mommy's nuts : ) I'm so proud of him♥. Now the mischief starts lol!

Another Birthday Another Year Older

I woke up this morning well I guess you could say up up for the day at 5:00. It was a rough one last night my little guy kept waking up all night long more then usual.  Maybe that's why I didn't realize that today June 20th is my birthday.

I remembered when I got a couple of birthday texts. Is it just me or do birthday's become not much of anything special the older you get?

Today has been one of those hellish days were you can't just can't wait for the day to end. The boys have been extra lets just say lovely today (I'm being sarcastic in case you can't tell). The baby didn't get any of his naps today because of that. Tired, grumpy, fussy, hot baby makes for a not so fun combo : (

I had some errands I needed to run which was less then fun with my 2 older boys running around like maniacs not listening and try to beat one another up. Traffic was a frigging nightmare with every road under construction.  It was 90° hot and humid with the beating down.

We get home I get to make dinner, do dishes and clean up. The baby's still really tired and cranky, the boys still aren't listening and I'm just patiently waiting for bed time to come.

Sorry to be a downer and complain. I should be thankful I'm a year older and 30 is creeping up quickly. I have 3 amazing boys that make my life an adventure : ) Sometimes it's nice to feel special. Ok I'm done venting.

Cinnamon Bread!

I wanted to share a really yummy cinnamon bread recipe with you. It's really moist and not to sweet but just right. It's quick and easy to make and makes 2 loafs of bread.  You could also make muffins with it instead if you like : )

Cinnamon Bread

Batter
  •  1 cup butter softened
  •  2 cups sugar
  •  2 eggs
  •  2 cups buttermilk or 2 cups milk plus 2 tbls vinegar or lemon juice
  •  4 cups flour
  •  2 tsp baking soda
Cinnamon/sugar mixture

  •  2 tsp cinnamon
Cream together butter, eggs and sugar. Add milk, flour and baking soda. Take 1/2 of the batter and divide it evenly in two greased pans. In separate bowl mix together the cinnamon/sugar mixture.  Sprinkle about 3/4 of the mixture on to the two loafs. Take the remaining batter and divide it evenly between the to loafs and sprinkle with remaining cinnamon/sugar mixture. Swirl with a knife. Bake at 350° for 45 - 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Library Fun & Going For A Walk!

We went to the library today to sign the boys up for the summer reading program. The library we visited today isn't the one in our town. It's a few towns over where I was born and raised. They have a really nice big kid friendly library.

All the boys got signed up even little man : ) The theme this year is super croc explorers and they have a bunch of exhibits threw out the library of croc stuff the boys thought that was pretty cool.

Of course while we were there we picked out some books, movies and 1 wii game.

They have such a nice children's areas. There's one for younger kids. That has a craft area, books, computers with learning games, play kitchen area, big climbing play ground, fish tank, nice area with containers of toys and puzzles. They also have there own restrooms.

The other kids area is geared more towards 1st grade through middle school. They have a craft/puzzle/game area, books, exhibits, wii game playing area, computers, lounge area. They also have there own restrooms.

We hungout and played for a little while. This was the first time my little guy got to play there : ) He was just in awe watching all the kids running around.

I also found out when I was signing the boys up about a program for kids from birth to 5 yrs. Get a free book from the imagination library every month! I thought that was awesome! I jumped on that and signed up my little guy : ) They also participate in the museum adventure pass. There are certain places you can get either 2 free admissions to or buy 1 get 1. Some of the places are the zoo and the Lego discovery center.

After the library we went for a little walk since the weather was so beautiful today. It was 70° and sunny. All the excitement must have worn the little guy out cause he ended up knocking out during our walk : ) If you notice my middle boys one pant leg rolled up in the picture it's because he hurt his knee and didn't want to put his pant leg down.

Do you sign up for summer reading program's and how well do you like your library?

12 Months Already! ♥

I can hardly believe my sweet baby boy is officially 12 months old!!! It's crazy it seems like I just had him not so long ago. It's made me pretty emotional. I don't know if I'm taking it harder because he could very well be my last. But never the less it's been bittersweet!

Little mans still not walking yet but he has been more active. He's not quite as wiggly or wobbly when I hold his hands while he's standing. I know before I know it he'll be walking then running and getting into everything.  So I'm not in a hurry to push him to do it before he's ready.

He was 19 pounds at his 12 month appointment.  He's still breastfeeding and I plan to until he's ready to wean. He has been trying more bites of food (not much) but more then he ever has before. His blood work came back and he is slightly anemic. So we'll be working on getting his iron level up. He'll get retested for it in 3 months.
He's teething right now. His 8th tooth has popped threw. His hair is growing so fast! He's definitely a curly like one of his brothers and mommy : )

He's doing new things all the time. I absolutely love watching him grow (although it's bittersweet). There's times I wish I could keep him little for ever (at least for a little longer). The time  goes by way to fast : (

I've so enjoyed these past 12 months you have blessed and brought so much love and joy into my life. You are such a little miracle and blessing. There are no words to tell you exactly how much I LOVE you my sweet little guy ♥. I can't wait for the many more amazing firsts, great memories, hugs and kisses to come! Love you my sweet boy ♥

French Toast Roll Ups!

Let me just start by telling you how YUMMY these are! I found the recipe online and just had to make some (well I didn't have to but I really wanted to : ) There really easy and quick which is always a good thing. The boys especially my oldest inhaled them!

French Toast Roll Ups
  •  White sandwich bread (soft fluffy type wheat works to)
  •  2 eggs
  •  3 tbls milk
  •  1/3 cup sugar
  •  1 tsp cinnamon
  •  Butter (for greasing pan)
  •  Optional fillings (cream cheese, caramel, nutella, strawberry filling, really anything you would like)
1. Cut the crust off the pieces of bread and roll them flat.

2. Mix the eggs and milk together in a bowl.

3. Mix the sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.

4. Put 1 tbls of butter in a skillet over med heat.

5. If you would like a filling spread a small amount in the center of the flattened bread and roll up. I didn't put any filling in ours and they were still so good.

6. Dip the roll ups in the egg mixture and brown all sides.

7. When golden brown on all sides dip in cinnamon sugar mixture.

Enjoy!
